Mat towel?

A friend of mine just asked, "Can you recommend a good Bikram towel?"

Now, I am cheap and lazy, so I grab whichever one is around the house and doesn't smell too bad. But I see lots of people using the yogitoes one, and these ones from Breathe (who used to make awesome shorts; where did they go?) look cool too.

So, folks, what are your towel preferences?

  1. 5 dollar towels from bed bath and beyond... beach towels from target... I cannot bring myself to spend more than 10 dollars on a towel!! it's a towel!!!

  2. That's how I feel, too. But he asked, so I'm putting it out there... :)

  3. I hate when my towels bunch up. I really like the yogitoes because they stay put and also distribute sweat so I don't get puddles on my mat. There's usually at least one on sale at Amazon most of the time and they wash and wear very well.

  4. I have 2 sets at home that I use that are my favourites. They need to be long enough so I can stay in triangle on one towel but other than that I'm not pickey. No pricey towels for me. Although I do need to invest in a new mat.

  5. I'm one of those people that drags their feet forever when it comes to stuff like this. I haven't bought Shaktis--I wear Aspire shorts from Sports Authority that cost $15. I use my studio's free towel and wrap my water in a $5 bath towel, also from Target :-)

Hell, I've had a decent job for four years and haven't yet bought a flat-screen TV! I'm the wrong person to ask :-) But if you get yogitoes, tell me how you like it, 'cause I like your mistrustful and cynical attitude!
